The Nigerian Diplomatic Mission was accredited to the Kingdom of Spain in 1976, and through the years has maintained a consistent goal of developing an extensive range of Consular, Bilateral relations and Nigerian Citizens Diplomacy.
The Mission continues to vigorously pursue a strong bilateral relations between Nigeria and Spain. In addition to this, the Mission promotes Nigeria´s tourism industry through the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), headquartered in Madrid to which the Mission is equally accredited.
The Mission houses both the Embassy and the Consulate offices at the same location in Madrid. The Head of Mission, His Excellency, Ambassador ADEMOLA SERIKI, who is concurrently Nigeria´s Permanent Representative to the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), shares a strong leaning towards developing a robust bilateral and private Trade relations between Nigeria and the Kingdom of Spain.
